I'm really glad someone turned me on to Kelly Link. She's a gifted storyteller whose work is often pegged as fantasy or light horror (I say "light" because I could never stomach real horror), but in fact runs the gamut from science fiction to fairy tale to some really interesting magical realism with dizzying meta-fictional elements.
