In Short, the Pacific travel diaries from a 19th century American lawyer are found by an early 20th century British musical prodigy, whose letters, musical recordings and lover are key components in the pulp fiction manuscript read by a book publisher who features as the main character in a movie viewed in a dystopic future by a genetically-engineered clone, the memory of whom becomes the religious underpinnings for a primitive, post-apocalyptic people on an Hawaiian island.
It's quite good.
